A practical pathway toward climate-positive infrastructure. For decades, road construction has been associated with energy consumption, resource use and CO₂ emissions. But what if roads could do more than connect places? What if road infrastructure could become a long-term carbon storage asset?

The project involved the construction of approximately 100 metres of roadway with a width of 4 metres, installed on a compacted aggregate base using a layer thickness of approximately 3 cm.
